Students Attend Environmental Conference in Ajman

March 6/7, 2018 Sheikh Zayed Hall, Ajman: Students from the Department of Environmental Health Sciences attended the 5th Ajman International Environment Conference. The event was organized by Ajman Municipality and Planning Department and featured more than 50 speakers addressing issues related to climate change and sustainability.

Students were able to choose from a variety of workshops and discussions covering topics such as sustainable agriculture, smart cities, renewable energy and efficiency, disaster risk reduction and carbon footprint.

Dr. Yassen, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Environmental Health Sciences, said there was something for everyone at the conference and that exposing our students to experts in their fields gave them a wider perspective on the environmental issues facing the world today.
