Chloe Bennett is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Creative Industries program at Canadian University Dubai. She holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing and Art History from the University of Victoria, Canada. She is a registered Landscape Architect with the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects and the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects.

Her professional experience spans academia, municipal government, and private industry, with a focus on public space delivery, project management, and international design practice. She brings over 16 years of global professional experience working within multidisciplinary architecture and engineering firms, academia, art galleries as well as Canadian municipal government.

Chloe’s design project portfolio includes high-end residential, commercial, hospitality, and public-realm developments across China, Dubai, Seattle, and Canada. This professional background has provided her with a strong, first-hand understanding of the interdisciplinary nature of the Creative Industries, which informs both her academic practice and leadership.

Chloe has served as Project Manager for municipal government design initiatives, leading multidisciplinary teams of engineers, architects, planners, artists, developers, and contractors from concept development and public engagement through to construction completion. Her responsibilities included strategic coordination, financial oversight, risk management, and ensuring design excellence within budgetary and scheduling constraints.

Previously, she served as Head of Creative Industries for nearly three years and as Head of Interior Design for two and a half years at Canadian University Dubai. In these roles, she contributed to the successful launch and re-accreditation of the Creative Industries Bachelor of Arts program developed in collaboration with Toronto Metropolitan University.

Her academic research interests are the psychology of the creative process, enhancing creative confidence, as well as AI in Project Management.
Her teaching and academic leadership are grounded in design thinking methodology, with experience teaching design, innovation, and entrepreneurship across the Architecture & Interior Design, Management, and Creative Industries programs. She adopts an interdisciplinary, industry-aligned approach that supports student networking, professional skill development, and workforce readiness in an evolving global market.
