  • What lunch facilities do you have?

    We have several options throughout the campus to accomodate breakfast, lunch and snacks.

  • What kind of student services and facilities does CUD provide?

    Canadian University Dubai (CUD) encourages students to participate actively in the extracurricular life of their University, and has a wide range of facilities to support this. We encourage students to participate in one of the existing student clubs or form a new one. We encourage our students to join in inter-university sports leagues and welcome others to its premises.   • What is the Professor-student ratio in my classes?

    Student/Professor ratios are low normally averaging around twenty students

  • What is the length of the school day?

    This will depend on the number of courses you are attending. Classes are taught between 9.00am and 9.00pm. In certain subjects there are evening and weekend classes

  • What is CUD’s refund policy after registration?

  • What happens once I enrol?

    Once you have had your eligibility confirmed by our Registration and Admissions Department you will receive an Acceptance letter. You will then be invited to choose your courses. Once you have chosen these you will be given a start date and you can begin your courses.

  • What happens if students do not pass a course?

    If you have failed a substantial part of your course you will need to repeat the entire course

  • What documents do I require for my Student Visa?

    (1) Passport photocopy (coloured) (2) 10 Photographs (coloured) (3) A Letter of acceptance from the University with course details and duration

  • What documents do I need to provide my Course?

    You need to submit an Application Form which is available at the Admission Department. Alternatively you can apply on line. You also need the following documents:

    • Degree certified by the appropriate Authorities and from a Ministry Approved Institution
    • Official University Transcripts and Course Descriptions
    • TOEFL or IELTS score report
    • Copy of Passport (and UAE visa, if applicable)
    • 6 photographs
  • What documents do I need to provide for a Bachelor Course?

    You need to submit an Application Form which is available at the Admission Department. Alternatively you can apply on line. You also need the following documents:

    • A certified copy of the Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent. A certified Grade transcript of Grades 10-12 must be attached for non UAE High School Certificates.
    • A photocopy of Passport.
    • Ten (10) passport size photographs with full name written on the back of each.
    • If available, a certificate of English proficiency such as: TOEFL with a minimum score of 500, or IELTS with a minimum score of 5.

    Note: There is a non refundable registration fee. Also you will need to get your documents attested from your Country of origin. Details can be found on our website

  • What discounts are available for students who register?

    We offer different types of discounts e.g. for early registration. These will be published on the website

  • What career guidance services are available?

    The Canadian University Of Dubai Student Employment Office promotes employment opportunities for students on and off-campus. Courses on job applications and preparation of cv’s are offered to students.

  • What are the deadlines to submit applications?

    We recommend that you submit your application one month prior to the start of the semester.

  • What are the criteria of transferring/upgrading a diploma/previous studies?

    Your Diploma must be from an Institution recognized by the Ministry of Education - Higher Education Affairs. You will need to bring your Course Transcripts and Course Descriptions to enable us to determine where you can be placed on our course

  • What are CUD’s tuition fees?

    Tuition varies depending on program of study. Check the fees page for up to date information.

  • My background is not in business. Do I need to take any pre MBA preparation courses?

    Yes you do need to take the pre-MBA courses. For students without an undergraduate degree in Business, we offer a pre-MBA program that covers all basic skill areas, such as Foundations of Marketing, Accounting Founndations, Management and Organizational Behaviour, Foundation of Business Statistics, Quantitative Analysis for Business and Economics Foundations.

  • My average is below the minimum in CUD’s admission requirements. Can I apply to CUD for probationary acceptance?

    If you have a passing grade (50-59%), you can apply to CUD for probationary acceptance. You will be put on a waiting list and your acceptance will be subject to certain conditions and requirements.

  • Is the Attendance Mandatory for MBA? If yes, How many classes can I miss?

    Attendance for all CUD classes is compulsory and you will not be able to take final examinations if you haven’t attended at least 75% of your course

  • Is it possible to get a loan for my course?

    Canadian University Dubai does not offer in house financing at this time. However, there are many financial institutions that may assist you with a student loan.

  • Is housing available to all students?

    Only students coming from outside of Dubai are eligible for student housing.

  • Is attendance compulsory?

    Yes, it is compulsory. Students will not be allowed to take the final examination if they were absent for more than 25% of the classes relevant to the course.

  • If I studied in an accredited college or university, and I want to submit my transcripts for transfer purposes, what documentation is required?

    Canadian University Dubai approves the admission of applicants transferring from other institutions subject to the following conditions:

    • Transfer is from a recognized institution of higher education;
    • Student meets Canadian University Dubai admission requirements;
    • Student submits a certified copy of their grade transcript and a detailed outline of their courses;
    • Student has a Cumulative Grade Point Average from the previous institution of at least 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or its equivalent (UG) or at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or its equivalent (Graduate).

    Transfer credits are subject to the following conditions:

    • Student passed the course with at least a C grade (UG) or B grade (Graduate); and,
    • Course outline is similar to a corresponding course in the relevant program at the Canadian University Dubai.

    Note: Transferred credit hours will not be considered in the computation of GPA at the Canadian University Dubai. The maximum number of credits a student may transfer will not exceed 50% of the total number of credits required for graduation.

    Furthermore, there is a credit transfer fee per approved course. Once your application is processed, we will revert back to you with the results within 2-3 weeks. Please note that the number of courses that will be accepted and the credits that will be transferred is not guaranteed.

  • If I have completed my International Baccalaureate or A-levels, am I eligible for course exemptions?

    No students are eligible for exemptions based on IB or A-level completion, but they are given preference in admission consideration.

  • If I apply today and I need a resident student visa, can CUD provide me with one?

    Student residence visas are issued for full-time students (students enrolled in 4 courses or more per semester) who have been accepted to CUD and have paid the required deposits and fees.

  • If I apply and pay the admission/application fee, can I postpone my enrolment? What will happen to the non-refundable deposit?

    You can postpone your enrolment to another semester and the deposit will be applied to the new semester. If you never attend the University, the deposit is non-refundable. However, the amount will remain in your account and will be applied towards your tuition fees, should you decide to join at a later date.
