January 4th, 2016: The latest data collected for the UAE Center for Higher Education Data and Statistics (CHEDS) reveals that Canadian University Dubai (CUD) has recorded a year-on-year increase in satisfaction levels with key performance indicators since the assessment process began in 2012.
For the 2014-15 assessment cycle, student satisfaction with teaching methods rose 10 percentage points on the previous year to 91%, while the faculty helpfulness ranking rose to 90%, compared to 83% in 2013-14. Student satisfaction with learning resources and classroom facilities both recorded rises again this year, to 89% and 87% respectively.
The CHEDS process also assesses indicators relating to graduate success and employee satisfaction. This year’s data reveals that 91% of graduate respondents consider that their degree from CUD is an important part of their professional success. The statistics also demonstrate high levels of satisfaction with the University work environment and resources amongst both faculty and staff.
The CHEDS data collection process is led by the Commission for Academic Accreditation in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It was established to provide a comprehensive national dataset on CAA licensed institutions in relation to key performance indicators, in order to help assess and plan higher education in the UAE against national and international benchmarks.
