New MBA students welcomed as part of MBA orientation session

Sunday, September 19, 2021: New MBA students were welcomed as part of the MBA orientation session hosted at City Walk campus, Canadian University Dubai (CUD). The students had the chance to meet fellow colleagues from the graduate programs. They were greeted by Dr. Nasser Taleb, Head of the MITGOV program, Dr. Elgilani Elshareif, Associate Dean of Graduate Studies, and Dr. Davide Contu, Assistant Professor of the Faculty of Management. As part of the orientation session, students were able to meet the Student Affairs team, the Learning Resource Centre team, as well as the Career services and Internship team.

Dr. Elgilani Elshareif welcomed the students, noting: “This is a special occasion to see our students in front of us after the previous months of online learning.” He highlighted that students are of paramount importance at CUD, stating: “You are part of the CUD family and the success behind CUD is you.”

Dr. Nasser Taleb added that the decision of joining CUD is an important, crucial life choice: “The decision that you made to join CUD is something to be proud of and is going to have a positive impact for you now and years ahead.”

Dr. Davide Contu remarked that faculties at CUD are available to support the learning and development journey of the MBA candidates: “We are here to help you, we value your feedback, and we need to stay in touch outside of class.”
