Canadian University Dubai is pleased to welcome applicants transferring with credit from other institutions.
If you’re looking to transfer you should first complete an online application here and upload the course descriptions and transcripts from your previous institution as additional documents. An initial non-refundable fee is applicable for the first assessment and an associated fee will apply for each additional approved transfer credit.
Once your application is received and processed, the credit transfer decision will take approximately 2-3 weeks. You should note that the number of courses that will be accepted and the credits that will be transferred is not guaranteed.
Transfer Policy for Undergraduate Programs
To transfer to an undergraduate program at CUD, the following requirements apply:
- Transfer must be from a recognized institution of higher education;
- You must meet Canadian University Dubai admission requirements;
- You are required submit a certified copy of the grade transcript and a detailed outline of the courses;
- You will need a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) from your previous institution of at least 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or its equivalent.
Transfer credits are subject to the following conditions:
- Passing the course with at least a C grade; and
- The course outline is similar to a corresponding course in the relevant program at CUD.
Please note:
Transferred credit hours will not be considered in the computation of GPA at CUD. The maximum number of credits a student may transfer cannot exceed 50% of the total number of credits required for graduation.
Transfer Policy for Graduate Programs
To transfer to a graduate program at CUD, the following requirements apply:
- Transfer must be from a recognized institution of higher education;
- You must meet Canadian University Dubai admission requirements;
- You are required submit a certified copy of the grade transcript and a detailed outline of the courses;
- You will need a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) from your previous institution of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or its equivalent.
Transfer credits are subject to the following conditions:
- Passing the course with at least a B grade; and
- The course outline is similar to a corresponding course in the relevant program at CUD.
Please note:
Transferred credit hours will not be considered in the computation of GPA at CUD. The maximum number of credits a student may transfer cannot exceed 6 credits towards the total number required for graduation.
