Academic staff

Dr. Aseel Takshe holds a B.S. in Environmental Health from the American University of Beirut, an M.S. in Environmental Sciences from the American University of Beirut, and a Ph.D. in Environmental Economics and Management from the University of York, United Kingdom. Following the completion of her Ph.D. degree, Aseel held a Postdoctoral Research post at the University of Twente, The Netherlands. Her research investigated the effectiveness of environmental legislation and policy during times of conflict.

Dr. Wissam Ghach holds a B.Sc. degree in Biochemistry from the Lebanese University; an M.Sc. in Catalysis, Molecules, and Green Chemistry from the University of Rennes I, France; and a Ph.D. in Chemistry (Interdisciplinary of Electrochemistry, Material Science, and Microbiology) from the University of Lorraine, France. 

Dr.Alkhaldi trained in social and global public health policy. He received his Doctor of Public Health Policy and Systems from the University of Basel, the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH) in Switzerland where he led a comprehensive system analysis of the National Health Research System in several countries. During his 15 years in global public health, Dr.Alkhaldi has engaged in three different sectors, contributing to the development of health policies in the public sector; teaching and research; and NGO health projects and programs.

Dr. Malcolm is an associate professor of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at Canadian University Dubai (CUD). He studied his PhD from University of Bristol where he continued to work as a research associate. He then worked for University of Birmingham, UK as an associate professor  and maintains an honorary research fellow position there.
 

Ms. Salhab is currently a lecturer and a laboratory administrator for Biology and Chemistry labs at the Department of Public Health at CUD. She received her master’s degree in Biochemistry from Beirut Arab University.
