Sunday, September 19, 2021: New MBA students were welcomed as part of the MBA orientation session hosted at City Walk campus, Canadian University Dubai (CUD). The students had the chance to meet fellow colleagues from the graduate programs. They were greeted by Dr. Nasser Taleb, Head of the MITGOV program, Dr. Elgilani Elshareif, Associate Dean of Graduate Studies, and Dr. Davide Contu, Assistant Professor of the Faculty of Management. As part of the orientation session, students were able to meet the Student Affairs team, the Learning Resource Centre team, as well as the Career services and Internship team.

Sunday, August 29, 2021: A team of engineering students from Canadian University Dubai (CUD) has developed an integrated system that is able to detect, predict, and prevent criminal behaviour through the application of artificial intelligence. The system, known as Tatabou3, aims to help law enforcement authorities to accelerate their investigations and to stop future criminal activities among known and previous offenders.

Thursday, August 19, 2021: Canadian University Dubai (CUD) has become an academic partner with Autodesk, a global leader in design and make technology. The agreement was signed and facilitated by leading training centre, Omniplan, and qualifies CUD to teach courses on Autodesk programs, including but not limited to: AutoCAD, 3D Max, and Revit.

Sunday, August 15, 2021: Canadian University Dubai (CUD) is pleased to celebrate yet another significant milestone in our international research efforts with the recent publication of “Machine Learning Based Approach to Exam Cheating Detection", an interdisciplinary article co-authored by Dr. Firuz Kamalov (Associate Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, Canadian University Dubai), Dr. Hana Sulieman (Professor, Department of Mathematics and Statistics, American University of Sharjah) and Dr. David Santandreu Calonge (Associate Professor and Director, Corporate Training, Canadian University Dubai).

This year, Canadian University Dubai’s 2021 graduate class of the Department of Interior Design worked with specific focus on the changing world. The group was challenged to complete their project work remotely due to the pandemic situation. They were a resilient group, trying to make sense of the world around them and the situation they were in without losing their positive attitude and passion for design.

Sunday, July 4, 2021: Canadian University Dubai (CUD) has commemorated this year’s Canada Day in Dubai with an all-day event on Thursday, July 1st, at the University’s City Walk campus. The occasion marked the official inauguration of the campus expansion.

Wednesday, May 19, 2021: Canadian University Dubai (CUD) is proud to join the Association of Arab Universities (AArU) that works to support and connect institutions for higher learning in the Arab World, as well as enhance cooperation among them. The non-governmental organization includes 280 Arab universities at present, 12 of which are located in the United Arab Emirates.
