The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Buti Saeed Al Ghandi, Chancellor of CUD; and Prof. Karim Chelli, CUD President & Vice-Chancellor; in the presence of a full auditorium of students, faculty, and staff.

October 30th, 2023 | Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Canadian University Dubai (CUD) has published its inaugural Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) report, showcasing the institution’s contribution to the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). The report was presented alongside a panel discussion that showcased the voices of women in promoting sustainability in the MENA region.

October 14th, 2023, Dubai, United Arab Emirates: A student team within the School of Engineering, Applied Sciences, and Technology; at Canadian University Dubai showcased and presented their project ‘Agri-Connect’ at the Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX) Global Dubai 2023 from October 14th – 18th, 2023, at Dubai World Trade Centre. The theme of GITEX this year is to ‘Imagine Artificial Intelligence in Everything’.

October 10th, 2023 | Dubai, UAE: In observance of World Mental Health Day, the ‘Student Council’ and ‘Psychology Society’ at Canadian University Dubai, organized a series of workshops and student activities. Recognizing that mental health is a fundamental component of holistic well-being, the aim was to support and encourage learning, and personal growth, and to highlight the significance of prioritizing mental health, together with in-house clinic visits from Open Minds Psychiatry, Counselling & Neuroscience Centre, BrainHub Polyclinic, and American Wellness Centre.

Athiq Syed is completing his Bachelor of Arts in Communication - Digital Media and Journalism Program at CUD and successfully completed an internship at The Weber Shandwick Collective (TWSC).

Automyze offers one-stop comprehensive logistics solutions to small and medium-sized e-commerce brands pursuing efficient warehousing and logistics services in the United Arab Emirates. Founder & CEO of Automyze, Mr. Muhammad Manji, a BBA in E-Business graduate from CUD, and Head of Operations of Automyze, Mr. Danish Nanji, from CUD's BBA in International Business, are expanding the enterprise, one order at a time.

August 30th, 2023, Dubai, UAE: What a fantastic start to the new academic year! Students kicked off the new academic year with fun activities and energetic performances from the Music and Dance Society, all the while signing up for different clubs and societies. They got to explore a wide range of options – from dance and music to wellness, motor, sports, environmental, robotics, psychology, and more – with over 15 diverse clubs at CUD.

Manjari Tiwari, a pioneering student from Canadian University Dubai's (CUD) MBA program transitions to Canada to complete her MBA studies. Following a year in CUD's Master of Business Administration in General Management, Manjari smoothly transferred to the University of New Brunswick (UNB) in Canada to continue studying for her MBA.

July 25th, 2023, Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Canadian University Dubai (CUD) congratulates Bhaanvi Rai for receiving the esteemed Sir Howard Douglas Award from the University of New Brunswick (UNB), in Canada. Bhaanvi’s educational pursuit began in India and later led her to join CUD in the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.). Subsequently, she successfully completed her first year of university education in 2020 at CUD’s School of Management, studying BBA in Accounting and Finance and the credits were transferred to her bachelor’s degree program at the UNB.

July 8th – 10th, 2023, City Walk, Dubai, UAE: Canadian University Dubai (CUD) hosted its first 3-day Summer Camp at its expanded campus in City Walk. The Summer Camp was exclusively designed for high school students, aligning with CUD’s commitment to driving education within the community. The Summer Camp offered an interactive learning setting, facilitating six practical workshops for the students to actively participate in.

July 5th, 2023, Dubai UAE: Students at Canadian University Dubai (CUD) have been discovering the rich history and culture of Canada as part of an immersive program of activities to explore the country’s lifestyle and heritage. Led by Ms. Sanaz Sotoudeh, CUD’s resident international concert pianist and lecturer, performances from Canadian artists complement in-curriculum classes, to broaden students’ cultural perspectives and prepare them for future life and work in Canada.

June 26th, 2023, Dubai, UAE: An initiative led by students at Canadian University Dubai (CUD) is promoting a culture of happiness and positivity on campus, through a range of weekly activities that aim to inspire self-awareness, personal reflection, and mental and physical well-being. Led by the university’s student Wellness Society, the Wellness Wednesdays program encourages participants to focus on self-care amid the growing pressures young people are facing in daily life.

June 16th, 2023, Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Canadian University Dubai's (CUD) School of Engineering, Applied Science, and Technology; had the honour of co-hosting the International Online Conference, in collaboration with Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Jalandhar in India. This online conference, titled ‘Emerging Trends in Energy Systems and Applications: Modelling, Simulation, and Optimization of Energy Systems (MSOES) 2023’, took place June 17th to 18th, 2023.

June 16th, 2023, Dubai (UAE): The Engineering graduation projects were showcased at an event organized by the School of Engineering, Applied Science and Technology; at the Canadian University Dubai (CUD). As part of the graduation program requirement, each group comprised of a multi-disciplinary team that presented their respective projects.

June 20th, 2023, Dubai, UAE: Canadian University Dubai (CUD) has set out to nurture the next generation of environment and health management changemakers, with a revamped curriculum that aims to support the Government’s ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision. The Bachelor of Science in Public Health program has been built to align with the nation’s goals for the coming decade, with two concentrations in the disciplines of Health Administration and Environmental Health Management.
