July 1st 2019: Canadian University Dubai proudly came together to mark the 152nd Canada Day on July 1st, in a grand celebration to commemorate the birth of the nation. Dressed in the Canadian colors of red and white, the whole community gathered in the campus grounds to join in observing this momentous annual occasion.

June 30th, 2019: Canadian University Dubai (CUD) has recognized the winners of the 2nd Graduate Students’ Poster Competition at an award ceremony held on June 20th at the Shangri La Hotel. The event was an informal gathering for students, faculty, management and industry experts, to network and to celebrate participants’ achievements throughout the Competition.

June 18th, 2019: Rahul Binyani, a graduate of the Bachelor of Architecture at Canadian University Dubai (CUD), is helping to realize the theme of ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future’ as one of the masterminds behind the design and build of visitor facilities at the fast-approaching Expo 2020 Dubai.

June 18th 2019: Canadian University Dubai Engineering student, Ali Jassim, has been featured in an article published by the popular Arabic-language newspaper, ‘Al Bayan’, showcasing his innovative and intelligent solution to lower incidences of car accidents and to regulate traffic, using modern sensor technology.

June 17th, 2019: With the proliferation of advertisements in society today, Dr. Odekhiren Amaize, Professor of Advertising and Integrated Marketing Communications at Canadian University Dubai, has revealed how responsible advertising resonates with the youth, through a feature in an article released by the leading industry publication, Communicate Online.

June 17th, 2019: Canadian University Dubai architecture students, Basil Ahmed and Khateeja Banu, have been awarded an honorary mention at the P&T Architectural Design Competition titled “Giving Back To The Community”, organized by the globally recognized architectural design firm, P&T Group.

June 11th, 2019: Fourth year architecture students, Isra Elagib and Muath Al-Marri, have been recognized among a field of top young designers when they represented Canadian University Dubai in the Saint Gobain’s Multi Comfort Housing Competition 2019. The students’ hard work and determination led them to achieve 3rd place overall at the national level competition, hosted at Dubai Chamber of Commerce last month.

May 23rd, 2019: As Dubai presses forward with its 2021 smart city agenda, Canadian University Dubai Assistant Professor, Dr. Moayad Aloqaily, has revealed some of the technological solutions needed to help realise the strategy in a recent academic paper featured in leading industry research publication, the IEEE Communications Magazine.

May 16th, 2019: Following the successful gala event, 'Music is our Voice', which brought together people of determination and the local school community in a spectacular celebration of music, Canadian University Dubai (CUD) Chancellor, Mr. Buti Saeed Al Ghandi, has spoken to Edarabia about the institution's actions towards promoting inclusion.

May 13th, 2019: An action-based research project conducted by students and a faculty member from Canadian University Dubai (CUD) has found that academic institutions and family dynamics are considered the main contributors to fostering tolerance among UAE youth.

April 28th, 2019: Students from our new Events and Tourism Program visited the 27th Annual Arabian Travel Market Exhibition held in the Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre. They were accompanied by Dr. Iva Bulatovic, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Management.

April 29th, 2019: Mr. Luca Donner, Assistant Professor of Architecture at Canadian University Dubai (CUD) has been called upon to share his professional expertise at two international events hosted in the month of March.

April 27th, 2019: Students from the Department of Engineering took part in the annual Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Student Day held in the American University of Ras Al Khaimah.

22nd April 2019: Students from Canadian University Dubai got the chance to accompany His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment, on a two-hour educational tour during their recent field trip to Emirates Bio Farm in Al Ain.

April 21st, 2019: Dr. Lakhdar Chadli, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Communication, Arts and Sciences at Canadian University Dubai (CUD) has been selected as a member of the judging panel for the Zayed University Middle East Film Festival, taking place in Dubai this week.
